What other benefits do employers offer to their graduate recruits?
According to the Winter 2008 survey of 217 large employers from the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR), employers plan to offer 2008 graduates benefits such as:
- Pension scheme (reported by 95.7% of employers)
- Training for professional qualifications (86.5%)
- Private healthcare (64.4%)
- Free or subsidised sports or leisure facilities (58.2%)
- Study leave or sponsorship (58.2%)
- Relocation (39.9%)
- Share options/schemes (39.4%)
- Travel (33.2%)
- Company car (9.6%)
- Other (29.3%)
In addition, 33.2% of employers predicted that they would pay a lump sum signing-on payment to their new recruits, with the median amount being £2,000, the same as in 2007.
