What salaries do employers offer for work experience placements?

According to the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) Graduate Recruitment Survey 2009 Summer Review, which had 226 employer respondents, the median salary expected to be paid to placement students is £1,200 per month, a £4 drop from 2008. Only 13.2% of employers report having unpaid interns, which is a 2.6% drop from 2008 where one in six (15.8%) of AGR recruiters employed unpaid interns.
