What are cookies?

Cookies are a means whereby small pieces of information can be stored either on your local disc (persistent cookies) or in your computer's memory (per-session cookies). Prospects.ac.uk uses per-session cookies to store only your My Prospects login information so that you can move around the site and use the site's services without having to login each time.

When you close down the browser per-session cookies are destroyed.
