In this feature we show you what percentage of graduates working in a particular occupation, eg business and finance professionals, are from a particular subject area, eg Accountancy. In this example, 16% of business and finance professionals do Accountancy degrees. We have found it useful to include some vocational subject areas not covered by the charts used in this edition, and these are asterisked in the table, which you can view by clicking below. Key findings: - Over half of graduates working as IT professionals six months after graduation (56%) are from computing science degrees.
- 29% of media, literary, design & sports professionals are from design studies.
- 18% of engineering professionals are from mechanical engineering degrees, 16% from civil engineering degrees and 12% from electrical & electronic engineering degrees.
- 16% of graduates working in scientific based occupations are from chemistry degrees, 13% from biology and a further 5% from physics.
- 40% of nursing and health associate professionals are from nursing degrees, and 50% from subjects allied to medicine.
- Over two thirds of health professionals are from medicine and dentistry degrees (68%), and a further 24% from subjects allied to medicine.
