What is What Do Graduates Do? (WDGD)

WDGD provides information about the first destinations of first-degree graduates and HND diplomates, profiling how many leavers enter employment (and what type of employment), further study and unemployment six months after graduation. The destinations of 2001/2002 leavers are featured in WDGD 2004 and to complement the data, there is a selection of articles and an editorial for each subject area where the findings are discussed.

Where does the data in WDGD come from?

Higher education institutions collect destination information from their leavers six months after graduation. These statistics are then sent to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and then used in the compilation of WDGD.
